Travel With Me

I’ve been to Nola over 5 times now, and I still haven’t tried everything thing I want. This town is full of options and things to do all the time. NOLA is a 24/7 city, picking what to do and when can be a HUGE challenge.  In my opinion, you really need to plan your days if you are wanting to experience multiple things.

SIDE BAR: This shirt is everything, right? You can purchase it here!

Divide and conquer…

Divide how much time you have by what your priorities are history, art, music, culture, and so on. Then add in a little time for the randomness that will occur. Next, you have to have time for naps. If you are in the 30 and up club, be sure to subtract a few hours for sleep.

Festive AF

Literally every weekend, every weekday, night and day, there is something to do in NOLA for anyone and everyone. NOLA is full of free cultural festivals. We went to the Tremé/7th Ward Arts and Culture Festival.

Tremé and the 7th Ward have given life to some of New Orleans’ (and the world’s) most famous works of art, music, and culture.

French Quarter

The French Quarter is referred to as the “Crown Jewel” of NOLA. It’s one of NOLA’s historic neighborhoods. Often times, people associate NOLA with beads, open containers, and partying, but it really is so much more than that. It’s live entertainment, culture, people, watching, meeting new people, food, and love.

NOLA Cuisine

Below I’ve put together a list of places that I have been to so far…
  • Melba’s- very popular and open 24/7
  • Gene’s – Not that great and overpriced
  • Pier Seafood Market
  • Red Ruby Slipper Cafe
  • Daisy Dukes
  • Elks Club

Did you find this travel guide helpful? How many times have you been to NOLA? I’d love to hear from you, comment below or send me an email by clicking the “Chat With Me” tab under “About Me”.
Until next time, I’m manifesting luv, enjoy.

Girl, you’ve GOT to try Drago’s when you go back. The roasted oysters are bomb!

Yes, Chunte told me to go there too! It’s just so many places you really have to go multiple times to eat everything.

I’ve been to NOLA many times. I love music and sports. In college, it was an annual trip to the Bayou Classic Thanksgiving weekend. I was just there for the Jazz Festival. And will probably go to Essence this year. One of my favorite neighborhoods is The Garden District. There are beautiful turn of the century homes and museums. I don’t eat out much when I go as my best friend’s family lives there and her Gran always has a pot of gumbo on the stove.

I’ve never been to either of those but I would love to go to both. Thanks for telling me about the Garden District, I love adding cultural experiences to my trip when I can.
